prospective members: please arrive AT LEAST 20 minutes before class time
>> intro to boxing >> no specific class at this time - IF YOU ARE A FIRST-TIME STUDENT PLEASE SHOW UP 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO REGULAR BOXING CLASS AND SPEAK TO A TRAINER OR SEND ME AN EMAIL – gm@sweetscienceboxing.org
>> boxing class >> 1 hr >> a high energy co-ed group class; boxing skills and drills incorporated into an interval training session focusing on punch combos, footwork, defense, body work, bag work, etc. (class times: sun 3:00; mon, tue, wed & thur 6:30; fri 3:30)
>> conditioning >> 1/2 hour >> strength and stretch interval training focusing on lower body, core & upper body; develop lean muscle to increase flexibility and speed (class times: tues & thur 5:30)
>> open workout >> at your pace >> design your own workout using the equipment (bags, balls, ropes, weights, etc) or partner with another for mitts and gloves drills; trainer on hand to give pointers as needed (before or after regular classes – available for one hour Mon and Wed from 5:30-6:30)
>> sparring >> at your pace >> intense defense training with timed rounds in the ring; trainer will supervise and determine readiness; sparring waiver, mouth guard and head gear required (before, during or after regular classes)
>> personal training >> 1/2 hr or 1 hr >> one-on-one specialty sessions with a trainer; individual or group (by appointment only; limited basis; email for more info)
>> yoga >> 1 hr >> classic poses of stretch, strength and breathing; boxing and yoga are great complementary practices (sun 4:15 – PLEASE NOTE EARLIER START TIME)
participation requirements for open workout & sparring: available to members with some level of boxing experience (classes or otherwise) and for those comfortable self-training; offered before or after regular boxing classes as the schedule permits; sparring will also occur during regular classes depending on instructor and students
