Try it once. You'll be hooked!

Many people still feel that boxing is a violent sport or designed for thugs to even the score. Some, especially women, might be intimidated by the concept. Some, especially men, might want to unleash the beast. Visit us at Sweet Science Boxing and find out the real story behind the sport as an exercise program. Our goal is to teach proper technique from the start. By not forming bad habits in the beginning, you will see your form, skills and speed improve with each class you attend.
The workouts are multi-faceted depending on who is the instructor for the night. And each instructor mixes up their approach to work on a variety of skill sets and body parts. Since we have 5 USA Boxing Certified Instructors, you are guaranteed a different work out at each session. We will all teach how to use your whole body to throw a punch. We have a full complement of training equipment, including heavy bags, a speed bag, a double ended bag, jump ropes and medicine balls. Recently, we have added weights and use those in a variety of ways in our workout.
The gym can provide you free use of gloves and headgear; however, as you become active in the sport, you’ll definitely want to invest in a good pair of gloves (and other gear) that you can call your own. For advanced students, we have a ring where you can spar with instructors or experienced members. I would like to stress the level of FUN that we have as a collective unit at this gym. Truly, it is what keeps people coming back to Sweet Science. There is no pressure and are no egos. There is an excess of camaraderie that is generated in each class. We listen to great music and joke around while getting a serious workout. Many of us have become friends. It’s one of the best ways that I know of to relieve stress. A bad day at work suddenly melts away when you hit stuff for an hour! And I guarantee that you will SWEAT. So, come on in for your FREE Trial Class and see if Sweet Science Boxing suits your fitness needs. We are happy to have you!
